Today, Mr. Ron Margalit, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the State of Israel in Kigali accompanied by the Vice Mayor in charge of economic development at Gatsibo District Mr Sekanyange Jean Leonard, paid an official visit to Nyabiheke Refugee Camp located in Gatsibo Sector in Gatsibo District.

During the visit, Mr. Margalit toured the STEM Center, ICT hub, and agricultural innovation sites supported through the partnership between ALIGHT Rwanda and the Embassy of Israel. These initiatives aim to equip refugee youth with digital skills, promote technology-driven agricultural practices, and foster sustainable livelihoods.

Mr. Margalit expressed his appreciation for the impact-driven work being done at Nyabiheke refugee camp and reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to supporting refugee communities in Rwanda through innovation, education, and development-focused cooperation.
